Ichthus Belvedere is a congregation of Ichthus Christian Fellowship. We are one of ten congregations which make up one London church, but Ichthus has links all over the UK and across the world! Our name simply reflects the area in which we meet (for example we also have Ichthus Forest Hill, Ichthus Lee Green and so on). Find out more about Ichthus here.

Leadership

Ichthus Belvedere is led by Lydia George, who is also on the central

leadership team of Ichthus. Lydia has been in church leadership

since 2008 after she completed the Ichthus training course called Radical

Network. Together with her husband Henry, she led Ichthus Lee Green

congregation for 7 years before moving to Thailand to serve as missionaries

in Bangkok. Whilst in Bangkok, they planted an Ichthus church. They also

did international development work for a Christian charity which looks after

abandoned disabled children. Henry and Lydia have two children, love

Ichthus theology, evangelism, mission, preaching, and are both worship

leaders.

In 2022 Henry took on a wider Ichthus leadership role with Ichthus, and became the leader of the Ichthus Ministry team following on from Roger & Faith Forster's leadership. Lydia therefore took on sole congregation leadership of Ichthus Belvedere, along with a leadership team of Fred Akontoh, Stewart & Paula Payne.

Henry and Lydia will be taking a three month sabbatical starting on 15th October 2026 and in the meantime the congregation will be led by our Prayer and Planning team of Fred Akontoh and Stewart and Paula Payne, with Fred assuming the overall leadership role.
